    Configure an AVG Firewall to Resolve Operation Issues

    Configure AVG Firewall Permissions

    1. Open AVG Internet Security.
    2. Click Firewall.
    3. In the Settings menu, select Advanced settings.
    4. Click Applications.
    5. If listed, select the file named bztransmit.exe or bztransmit64.exe, and select Edit.
    6. If bztransmit is not listed, add the file.
      1. Click Add.
      2. Navigate to bztransmit.
      3. Select the correct version for your operating system.
        • For Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Backblaze/bztransmit.exe
        • For Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 10 32-bit: C:\Program Files\Backblaze\bztransmit.exe
        • For Windows Vista, 7, 8 , and 10 64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Backblaze\bztransmit.exe
          If you do not know whether your version of Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit, select both bztransmit.exe and bztransmit64.exe separately.
      4. Click Create.
    7. Under Application action, select Allow.
    8. Click OK.
    9. Click OK, and close AVG.
