Add Backblaze to the Windows Defender's White List
- Open Windows Defender Security Center.
- In the left menu, select Firewall & network protection.
- Under Public network, click Allow an app through firewall.
- Select Change settings, and click Allow another app.
- Click Browse.
- Locate the bztransmit.exe file or the bztransmit64.exe file.
- Windows XP:
C:\Program Files\Backblaze\bztransmit.exe
- Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 10 32-bit:
C:\Program Files\Backblaze\bztransmit.exe
- Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10 64-bit and 11:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Backblaze\x64\bztransmit64.exe
andC:\Program Files (x86)\Backblaze\bztransmit64.exe
- Windows XP:
- Click Add.
- Repeat the above for files bztrans64_thread00 - bztrans64_thread19 and again for bztrans_thread00 - bztrans_thread19.
- Ensure that both Private and Public are selected, and click Okay.
