Locate Data from Failed or Disconnected Hard Drives

You can use the Backblaze web console to locate files from disconnected or failed secondary hard drives.

View Previously Backed Up Files

1. Sign in to the Backblaze web console.
2. In the left navigation menu under Computer Backup, click View/Restore Files and scroll to the file viewer.
3. Leave the Files uploaded from field as Beginning of Backup.
4. Change the to field to a time when your external drive was connected and backing up.
5. Click Go.

The file viewer reloads, and your external drive is visible in the left Folders list. You can now create a restore of your files.
