    You can use Backblaze Computer Backup to restore and download your Apple Mail files. This article shows you how to restore your Apple Music Library on Catalina and newer operating systems. For earlier versions of macOS, refer to Restore iTunes (Mac).

    Restore your Apple Music Files

    1. Sign in to the Backblaze web console.
    2. In the left navigation menu under Computer Backup, select View/Restore Files.
    3. At the top of the page, select Download (Free).
    4. At the bottom of the page, locate the computer that you want to restore and click Go.
    5. Navigate through the file window and select one of the following folders:
      • If you used iTunes prior to upgrading to Catalina or newer, use the path Macintosh HD > Users > (your name) > Music > iTunes > iTunes Media.
      • If you have not used iTunes prior to Catalina or newer, use the path Macintosh HD > Users > (your name) > Music > Music > Media.
    6. Click Continue with Restore.

    Download your Apple Music Files

    Backblaze sends you an email when your restore file is ready to download. The time it takes to prepare your restore depends on the size of the restore.

    1. Sign in to the Backblaze web console.
    2. In the left navigation menu under Computer Backup, select My Restores.
    3. Locate your restore, and click Download.
      The restore downloads to the default location on your computer which is typically the Downloads folder.
    4. Double-click the ZIP file that you just downloaded to decompress the file.
      The restore file unzips in your Downloads folder.
    5. Open the new folder to view the restore files.
    6. Open a second Finder window, and navigate to one of the following folders depending on your OS:
      • Macintosh HD > Users > (your name) > Music > iTunes > iTunes Media
      • Macintosh HD > Users > (your name) > Music > Music > Media
        Backblaze recommends that you create a new folder called "Old" to put your local copy of the Apple Music files in

    7. Select and move your restored files from the Download folder to your local Music folder.
    8. Open Apple Music, and confirm that your files were successfully restored.
