    Shipping Time

The time to build and ship a USB hard drive restore depends on the amount of data and the number of files that you select for restore.

It typically takes one to two business days per terabyte of data to prepare, copy, and encrypt. Times can fluctuate depending on the total quantity of data and the number of individual files in your restore.

All USB restore drives are built Monday through Friday, and are not processed over the weekend. They are prepared and shipped from the United States, even if your data is stored in a non-U.S. data center.

After Backblaze builds the drive, it is shipped using FedEx and you receive an email with a tracking number. If you are in the continental U.S., it is shipped overnight. If you are outside of the U.S., it is shipped using FedEx international priority, which can be as few as three to four days for many locations or as much as 10 days for remote locations.

The price of the USB restore drive is inclusive of shipping within the U.S. If you are outside of the U.S., you are responsible for any taxes, duties, customs, or fees.
