Check the Status of a Restore Drive

After you order a restore drive from Backblaze, you can check the status of your drive shipment in the Backblaze web console.
It usually takes Backblaze between two and four business days per terabyte of data to prepare, copy, and encrypt your drive, plus at least one additional business day. Backblaze does not process restore orders on weekends.
When your drive is ready, it is shipped through FedEx and a confirmation email is sent to the email address that is associated with your account. If you are located in the continental United States, the drive ships overnight. If you are located outside the United States, the drive ships using FedEx International Priority, which can take from one to three days for many locations, or as many as 10 days for remote locations.
After your drive is shipped, you can track it in the Backblaze web console. You can also find the Drive Unlock Code that you need to unlock your drive when it arrives.
Check the Status
- Sign in to your Backblaze account.
- In the left navigation menu under Computer Backup, click My Restores.
- If the status is Processing, a completion percentage is displayed.
- If the status is Shipped, a Drive Unlock Code is displayed. Click Track to view tracking information.
