Use BetterZip to Unzip a Restore File (Mac)

In some cases, the default Mac unzipping utility may fail while unzipping your Backblaze Computer Backup restore file. In these cases, Backblaze recommends that you use an alternative tool, such as BetterZip.

Download and Use BetterZip

1. Download BetterZip, and unzip the downloaded application.
2. Open BetterZip.
3. Leave all of the options selected.
4. Double-click the ZIP restore file to open it.
5. Click Extract.

An unzipped folder that contains your unzipped files replaces the ZIP restore file in the location to which you downloaded it.
