    Article summary

You can use the free software, 7-Zip, on any computer.

To unzip a restore file, you must have available space in the location to which you are unzipping the file.  If you unzip a 50 GB file and you have only 49 GBs of free space, you are not able to unzip the file.

    Download and Install 7-Zip

    1. Download 7-Zip for your specific operating system.
    2. Run the installer to install 7-Zip.

    Use 7-Zip

    1. Open 7-Zip.
7-Zip displays Computer, Documents, Network and \\.
    2. Double-click Computer, and navigate to the restore file's location.
    3. Select the ZIP file that you want to extract, and click extract.
    4. Select a location to save the file, and click OK.
A status window with a green bar is displayed that provides a status of completion and automatically closes when complete.

When the file is unzipped, it is shown as a folder in the location to which you unzipped the file. All files that you selected for restore are available in this folder.
