• Security updates were made to the Windows Computer Backup Restore App.
• The following updates were made to the “Skipped Files” screen:
  • The “View Skipped Files” heading was changed to “Skipped Files.”
  • The timestamp is no longer abbreviated and displays a standard time.
  • A visible link was created to Open in File Explorer.
  • A toggle switch was added.
  • File sizes are now displayed.
• Search results for file queries now display item counts.

Bug Fixes

• An issue was resolved that caused a crash when exiting a large restore.
• The user interface was improved to provide a more intuitive and streamlined experience.
•  An issue was resolved that caused sign-on failures for SSO-enabled accounts.

Bug Fixes

• The Change button now appears when a Mac backup is selected.
• The email link was updated to open the Overview page in the Backblaze web console.
• If the received data element is enabled in the Trace settings, then that data is now logged in the trace file.
• A "Restore in place" warning message now appears only when clicking the Restore button when viewing a Mac backup.
• Translation was added for the default option in “Settings.”
• Restore processes were improved for Windows 7.

Improvements

• Cross-platform code now notifies you if an unusual condition exists, for example, a restore destination drive is missing.
• The app now supports unicode strings, filesystem locations, and mount points.
• The app now provides an available disk space value.
• Temporary file paths were shortened making it less likely for users to exceed character limits.
• To reduce limitations, the maximum path name length was increased.

Bug Fixes

• Sent and received data that includes sensitive fields is now masked before enabling trace functionality from the user interface.
• When the server crosses a specific threshold when a file is not sent, an error message is now displayed that indicates a problem.
• Passphrase issues no longer trigger download requests to fail.
• When a restore is completed, the Pause and Delete buttons now change to Go To Folder and Clear. 
• An issue with the “Send SMS Fallback Code” delivery was corrected.
• The warning text that is displayed at the bottom of the Select Files window was updated.
• The timestamp on the “Restore Progress” window is now in standard time instead of military time.
• Files with Romanian Unicode characters in their names are now restored with their correct names and dates.
• The progress message for a large restore now appears within the first minute to indicate that the app is not frozen.
• An invalid x-line issue was corrected that caused missing files on a USB restore drive.
