Resolve a bzserv Error

You may receive the following message on your computer: WARNING: The bzserv service is not running properly. Please download and install a new Backblaze client to resolve this problem. This message usually indicates that other software on your computer is interfering with Backblaze Computer Backup.

1. Temporarily disable all firewall, antivirus, disk cleaning, or network monitoring software on your computer.
2. Download and install the latest version of Computer Backup.
   • Mac
   • Windows
3. Restart your computer.
4. Open the Computer Backup client.
   • Mac Preferences Panel
   • Windows Control Panel
5. Click Backup Now.
6. When Computer Backup finishes backing up your files, re-enable your firewall, antivirus, disk cleaning, or network monitoring software.
