Resolve the Horse Error
- Change the settings of your firewall or security software to allow the bztransmit process to run unhindered.
- On a Mac computer, the bztransmit file is at the path
/Library/Backblaze.bzpkg/bztransmit
. - On a Windows computer, the file is named bztransmit64.exe and is at the path
C:\Program Files (x86)\Backblaze\x64\bztransmit64.exe
.
- On a Mac computer, the bztransmit file is at the path
- Ensure that the Computer Backup client is actively uploading and that you have a trial on your account.
- If you do not have a trial on your account, download the installer and install the client with the email address of the account to which you are transferring.
- Temporarily disable all security software on your computer, and attempt to inherit the backup state again.

- On a Mac computer, locate the logs at the path
- Compress the bztransmit folder into a ZIP file so that you can attach the file to your support ticket.
- Navigate to https://www.backblaze.com/help, and click Submit Request.
- Use the Attachments field to attach the ZIP file that contains your logs.
