Third-party encryption programs, such as VeraCrypt, may offer a setting that allows you to mount a drive as removable media.
Backblaze Computer Backup cannot back up a drive if it is seen as temporary or removable media. You can back them up only if they are seen as local disks. If the encryption software that you use offers the option to mount volumes as removable media, you must deselect this option to allow your drives to back up to Backblaze as shown in the following example.
