You can change and reset your Backblaze Computer Backup account password with the Backblaze web console.
Change Your Account Password
- Sign in to the Backblaze web console.
- In the user menu in the upper-right corner of the page, select My Settings.
- Under Security, select Change Password.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter and confirm your new password.
- Click Change Password.
An alert is sent to the email address that is registered to your account.
Reset a Forgotten Password
- Navigate to the sign in page, and enter the email address for your Backblaze account.
- Click Next.
- Click Forgot Password?
- Enter the email address for your Backblaze account, and click Forgot Password.
A reset message is sent to the email address that is registered to your account. - Click the password reset link that is provided in the email.
- Enter your new password, and click Reset Password.
Note
Backblaze passwords must adhere to the following rules:
* 8 to 50 ASCII (English) characters in length
* No ASCII control characters
* No @ symbol
* Cannot begin or end with a space character
