      Rename a Backup on an Account

        Backblaze Computer Backup names your computer's backup based on the name that is reported by your operating system and the date that the backup began. You can change the name of your backup through the Backblaze Client.

        Rename your Backup

        1. Open the Backblaze Client for your specific operating system.
        2. Click Settings.
        3. Select the Settings tab.
        4. In the Online Name for this computer field, enter a new name for your backup.
        5. Click OK.
        Note
        The new name for your backup is shown immediately in the software settings. It can take a few minutes to an hour for the new name of your backup to appear in the Backblaze web console.
