Move Files from a Restore to a Local Hard Drive

A Backblaze restore is a container for your requested files. Because of this, there is no automatic function to restore the files to your computer. However, moving the files from your restore to your hard drive is very simple.

This article shows you how to move your files using a downloaded ZIP restore file, but the same functionality applies to hard drives. For more information about restoring your data, click here.

Restore Files to your Hard Drive

1. Locate your restored data either on the restore hard drive or the location to which you extracted your ZIP restore file.
2. Click through the folder structure of your restore to locate your files.
3. Select all of the files.
4. Drag the files from the restore to the desired location on your computer.
