What are the minimum system requirements for Cloud IBR?

You need Veeam v10 or later to back up your VMware servers and Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage or B2 Reserve as your backup and object storage destination.

What is Cloud IBR?

Cloud Instant Backup Recovery is an automated platform that builds an on-demand bare-metal environment and restores all your VMware virtual servers to your dedicated physical VMware ESXi host(s). This results in the ability to quickly and easily test your backups to ensure they are ready to be restored if there is an actual disaster. At times of disaster, Cloud IBR also will allow you to quickly restore mission critical systems to keep your operations going while you implement your broader disaster recovery plan.

How long does it take to restore my environment?

This is completely dependent on how much data is being recovered and restored. For most customers with up to 25TB of data, recoveries are completed in less than a few hours.

How long can I keep my restored environment online and how much would it cost?

There is no time limit on how long you can keep your environment online after performing a test or recovery. However, since there are small hourly fees associated with the usage of the recovery infrastructure, if you intend or need to keep the environment running long-term after an actual disaster, contact us for long term pricing options.

After I sign up, how long will it take for the service to be active?

Account set up will usually take between 15 and 20 minutes from the time you create your Cloud IBR account to the time that you have completed inputting your network and backup information. Once that is completed, you are ready to go.
