    Improvements

    The following improvements were made in this release.

    • Cross-platform code now notifies you if an unusual condition exists, for example, a restore destination drive is missing.
    • In the Backblaze Help menu, an option to submit user feedback or report an issue was added.
    • The “Log Settings” page was enhanced to include additional options.
    • The “Trace Settings” page was enhanced to include additional options.
    • The Restore App was improved to remove binary dependencies during the SSO call to the Backup Client app.
    • The app now provides an available disk space value.
    • The app now supports unicode strings, filesystem locations, and mount points. 
    • Temporary file paths were shortened making it less likely for users to exceed character limits.
    • When a change is made to the account email address, the password field clears automatically.

    Bug Fixes

    The following issues were corrected in this release.

    • Private encryption keys no longer appear in the local restore app user log.
    • Sorting a file list by name now matches the directory in Mac Finder.
    • The two-factor verification/time-based one-time password fallback code now sends a new code when requested.
    • The View Skipped Files log is now in standard time instead of military time, and a “Detailed Info” link is displayed.
    • The timestamp on the “Restore Progress” window is now in standard time instead of military time.
    • After a restore is complete, the Pause button now changes to “Show in Finder.”
    • An attempt to restore a backup with zero files in it now returns a “No Files Found” message.
    • The default network settings were adjusted.
    • The warning text that is displayed at the bottom of the Select Files window was updated.
    • When the server crosses a specific threshold when a file is not sent, an error message is now displayed that indicates a problem.
    • The progress message for a large restore now appears within the first minute to indicate that the app is not frozen.
    • For a newly created backup, the “Failed to load directory tree” message now provides actions, such as selecting a different backup.
    • The restore status was updated to provide active and completed files.
    • The “Prepare Another Restore” option now reloads the data and resets previous selections.
