Resume a Missing Computer

If your computer is active and connected to the internet, but it has not backed up to Backblaze Computer Backup in a long time, you may receive an email from Backblaze that indicates that your computer is missing. The Computer Backup software may have been uninstalled from your computer.

Resume your Backup

1. Download the backup client for your specific operating system.
2. Restart your computer, and run the Computer Backup installation software.
3. When prompted, enter your Backblaze sign-in credentials.
4. After installation, if the Computer Backup software still shows that it is a trial version, connect it with your paid account license.

When you choose to inherit a backup state, the Computer Backup software begins syncing your previous online backup with the files that are currently on your computer. This may take some time to complete. The software also uploads any new files or changes to your data and adds them to your online backup.
